We are now Qizzle!

This is a note to let you know that from 1st September 2020 our name is changing from Eeny Meeny to Qizzle (pronounced Kwizz-il).

Why have we done this? Well, we’re proud of the role we play in New Zealand’s vibrant education sector, but with the important discussion and evolving global awareness of what is and isn’t appropriate in a healthy, modern society, we realised that our old name was no longer fit for purpose.

And while we have a new name, the one thing that won’t change is our commitment to bring you an ever-evolving range of quality products and resources, and the same great service from our friendly and dedicated Kiwi-based team.

So what is a Qizzle? Well, it's an invented word intended to hint at themes such as inquisitiveness and curiosity. We thought this was appropriate as, after all, the products we sell are the tools of creativity and learning!

So... welcome to Qizzle! We hope you like our new name. If you’d like to learn more about the backstory, you can read the Qizzle story below.

Once upon a time…

The little monsters (as we know them) lived peacefully on their home planet, ‘Qizzle’.

As their knowledge and technology grew it became clear that their true purpose was to spread their wisdom, kindness and sense of fun throughout the universe.

And so, one Thursday, they boarded their spaceship and set course for the stars – eventually landing on a beautiful, sparkling green and blue planet called ‘Earth’. A place full of happy, inquisitive young minds with a thirst for knowledge and creativity. They had found their new home!

As we’ve learnt more about the four monsters, we’ve realised that rather than the nicknames that we had given them – Eeny, Meeny, Miny and Moe – their real names are in fact Izzy, Ziggy, Pop and Hamish.

They’ve also invited a whole lot of friends to join them. So over the next few months we’ll be getting to know a bunch of fun, new monsters that reveal the friendly nature and diversity of the inhabitants of Qizzle.

And finally, we’ve come to learn that on their home planet, the word ‘Qizzle’ is in fact a noun and a verb, meaning everything from ‘searching’, ‘discovery’, ‘knowledge’, ‘fun’ – to ‘creativity’, ‘curiosity’ and
much more!
